About
Shelley is a native Floridian who grew up in west Gadsden county, 75 miles upriver from St. George Island. She graduated from Emory University with a degree in International Business in 1998. After pursuing her equestrian avocation as an assistant manager at a Thoroughbred racing farm in Palmetto, Georgia, she moved home to Florida to sell real estate on St. George Island.
Shelley has been working in the St. George Island and Apalachicola real estate markets since 2003. She knows the ins and outs of both areas and has experience matching buyers with investment properties, permanent homes and commercial properties. Her talent lies in making sure you have all the information in front of you to make an informed decision regarding your purchase or the sale of your home, business or vacant property.
You will find Shelley ready to assist in all steps of a real estate transaction. Her attention to detail, forthright manner and many years’ experience helps a transaction in all stages; finding the perfect property, coordinating inspections, and navigating the closing process.
Shelley lives with her husband in Apalachicola and spends as much time as possible enjoying this lovely area by bicycle, kayak and boat. Her husband, Rex, founded the Owl Café in downtown Apalachicola with his partners in 1997 and they operated it until Shelley sold it in 2022. In 2014, Shelley, Rex and partners founded Oyster City Brewing Company and have now opened Watercraft Brewing Company and the Apalachicola Yacht Club. Shelley is an involved member of the community as a Realtor, business owner, fundraising organizer and volunteer, her local knowledge and contacts provide you with a wealth of resources to aid in your sale or purchase.
