August brought another steady month of sales to end summer on the Forgotten Coast in the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe, and St. George Island. There were 66 single family homes closed during the month with 88 properties currently under contract. Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach had the highest number of transactions with 14 closings while St. George Island had the highest priced property to sell, a gulf front home in Turtle Beach Village in the St. George Plantation selling for $4.4 million.
