Sales were on the rise in the Forgotten Coast real estate market during August in the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe, and St. George Island. There were 56 single family homes closed during the month with 72 properties currently under contract. Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach had the highest number of transactions with 18 closings while St. George Island had the highest priced property to close, a gulf front home at $3.4 million.
