Florida Seafood Festival Battery Park | Apalachicola November 3rd – 4th, 2023

The Florida Seafood Festival is a two-day event annually drawing tens of thousands of visitors to the historic town of Apalachicola in scenic Franklin County. The festival is held at the mouth of the Apalachicola river under the shady oaks of Apalachicola’s Battery Park. The festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood related events, and musical entertainment.

Beachcombing Tour William J. “Billy Joe” Rich Recreation Area | Cape San Blas November 11th, 2023

What’s that shell called? How are shells made? Where can I find the best shells? Get the answers on this guided 3/4-mile or 2-mile beach tour with a park ranger. Motorized beach wheelchairs are available for this program. Bring drinking water, wear sun and/or bug protection, and wear beach-walking shoes. Registration is required; please call 850-227-1876.

Lantern Fest Crooked River Lighthouse | Carrabelle November 11th, 2023

Lantern Fest is a unique outdoor festival that lights up the night with magic and history at the 1895 maritime landmark. Special activities include live music and dance, moonlit tower climbs, ancient craft demonstrations, enchanting glowing lantern display, museum displays, gift shop, and delicious food and desserts.

License-Free Saltwater Fishing Day All Locations | Bay, Gulf, Franklin Counties November 25th, 2023

License-free fishing days provide an excellent opportunity for those who don’t yet have a fishing license to experience fishing, take youth fishing, or for avid anglers to introduce a friend to fishing without having to purchase a license.  On these days, the fishing license requirement is waived for all recreational anglers, including both residents and non-residents.

Thanksgiving Turkey Trot Under the Palms Park | Mexico Beach November 24th, 2023

Come kick off Thanksgiving Day with the Mexico Beach Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run! All ages are invited to participate in this family fun event. Participants will start and end at the same location with volunteers along the road to route runners through the course. This is a non-chipped, non-official timed race. Race will start at 8:00am at Under the Palms Park on Thanksgiving Day.

November Sunset and Full Moon Climb Cape St. George Lighthouse | St. George Island October 28th, 2023

The November Sunset and Full Moon Climb at the Cape St. George Lighthouse on November 27^th. Visitors can enjoy this opportunity to view St. George Island, the Gulf of Mexico and the Apalachicola Bay under the evening sky. The Sunset and Full Moon Climb will be from 5:30 – 7:30PM. Fifteen-minute time slots will be allotted for each group on a first come, first served basis.
