Join your friends and neighbors for the 8th Annual Cape San Blas Polar Plunge at Cape Palms Park on Cape San Blas! Donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate provided by Scallop Cove. Open to all. Donations will be accepted for South Gulf Fire & Rescue. The Polar Plunge has become a staple of Cape San Blas, an annual event that brings people together for the sole purpose of welcoming in the new year.

Ring in the New Year with a First Day Hike at T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park! Join us as we venture along the newly opened Bayview Trail, a 1.6 mile scenic loop trail. Enjoy views of the St. Joseph Bay and the diversity of plants and wildlife and along the way. Program is free with regular park admission fee.
Apalachicola Oyster Cook-Off Riverfront Park | Apalachicola January 13th, 2024
The Apalachicola Oyster Cook-off was started in 2010 by a group of citizens wanting to raise money for the Apalachicola Volunteer Fire Department. What could the people of Apalachicola do, unique to our area, to raise money?? OYSTERS, of course! The Cook-Off begins with the Half-Shell Hustle 5K Run at 8AM followed by cook-off with live music, a silent auction, and more.

Gladius sounds like: Carlos Santana meets Eddie Van Halen in a Mexican standoff! Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, pupiled by Andrés Segovia’s protégé, and driven to obsession by Eddie Van Halen—Gladius is an award-winning composer and “accomplished classical/flamenco style guitarist.” Concert sponsored by the Friends of the Gulf County Library at PSJ. Free and open to the public to attend.
Soup-er Celebration (Soup, Bread, and Book Sale and Event) Franklin County Public Library Eastpoint Branch | Eastpoint January 20th, 2024
The Friends of Franklin County Public Libraries will be hosting a Souper Celebration: Soup, Bread & Book Sale at the Eastpoint Branch Library, 160 Hickory Dip Rd in Eastpoint FL on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10 am – 2 pm with delicious homemade soups, freshly baked artisan breads and baked goods, vintage books, live music, art and more. The proceeds from this event support the local library programs in Eastpoint and Carrabelle.
Junior Service League of PSJ Annual Chili Cook-Off! Haughty Heron parking lot | Port St. Joe January 27th, 2024
We will have Chili of course! But also, a Car Show, Family Bazaar, Music, and Kid Zone. There is no cover charge so come out and browse for free!! Chili tastes are $1/ticket, 1 ticket gets you a 2 oz taster cup, 3 tickets get you a large cup. Popcorn, cotton candy, and water are 1 ticket each. Chili Mugs are $25 each and come with unlimited tastes. There will be a 50/50 raffle and raffle basket tickets are also $1/ticket.
