St. George Island Chili Cookoff St. George Island | St. George Island March 2nd, 2024
The 42nd Annual St. George Island Charity Chili Cookoff is a fun-filled festival featuring a golf tournament at St. James Bay Golf Course, the Red Pepper Run 5K, an International Chili Cook-Off Competition, Firehouse Foods, Retails Booths, and the Chili Crawl! In addition, an online auction will run from February 28th to March 6th. Event proceeds benefit the St. George Island Volunteer Firefighter and First Responders (SGIVFD).

Chefs from all over the Forgotten Coast will prepare their most creative dishes at the historic Fort Coombs Armory located on 4th Street and Avenue D in Apalachicola. The town’s talented shopkeepers and local designers give the event an extraordinary touch and add creative flair by decorating each table individually. The tables range from elegant, artistic, and funky. The event includes dinner, music, and a silent auction.
GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club Inaugural Duck Derby Lake Alice Park | Wewahitchka March 9th, 2024
No ducking around! Prepare for feathers, fun, and a whole lot of quacking! The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Group will host their first-ever Duck Derby Community Event at Lake Alice Park. What’s a Duck Derby? Rubber ducks will “race” across Lake Alice! How does it work? “Adopt” a duck for $5. The lucky owners of the first duck to cross the finish line will win one of our exciting grand prizes!
4th Annual Pickleball for Sea Turtles Tournament Frank Pate Park | Port St. Joe March 14th – 17th, 2024
The Florida Coastal Conservancy is hosting its 4th Annual Pickleball for Sea Turtles Tournament (benefitting the Florida Coastal Conservancy in Gulf County) in beautiful downtown Port St. Joe. The courts are at Frank Pate Park overlooking Saint Joseph Bay. We invite you to join players of all ages and skill levels for great competition and fantastic water views.
Forgotten Coast en Plein Air Multiple Venues | Forgotten Coast March 15th – 24th, 2024
The Forgotten Coast en Plein Air, America’s Great Paint-Out, is among the most prestigious Plein air events in the country and is now recognized globally. The 19th anniversary of the festival will bring internationally acclaimed artists to the area to document the landscape and culture of 100 miles of coastal towns and the people who work and live here during the 10-day festival.
